O’ friend, you complain from the calamity of the age,
and you forgot the night and darkness inside your body.
It is the seed that gives nothing but what within it.
It is the essence of root and stem and the origin of the branches.

O‘ mein Freund, du beklagest die Zeitsumstände,
Und vergaßest die Dunkelheit, die im Innere dieses Körpers ist.
Es ist der Same, der dir nichts aber nur was drin gibt.
Er ist die Essenz der Wurzel, des stammes und der Ursprung des Zweiges.

أنت تشكو يا صديقي من صروف الزّمنِ
ونَسِيـتَ اللـيـــلَ والعَـتمـةَ فــي ذا البـدنِ
إنّــهــا البـذرةُ لا تعــطيـكَ إلاّ مـا بهــا
فَهْيَ روحُ الجَّـذرِ والجِّذع وأصلُ الفَـنَن

If it were with genes that have ebb and flow,
Expect fruits with bitter taste in your mouth.
Is the darkness a light, and the abasement an
enlightened intellect? look with the eye of intelligent.

Wenn er mit Genen, die Ebbe und Flut haben,
warte davon Früchte, die im Mund bitter schmecken.
Ist die Dunkelheit ein Licht und der Verfall ein
glühender Intellekt? Begreife mit Auge des Kluges.

فإذا كانتْ بجــيـنـاتٍ بها مـدّ ٌ وجَـــزرُ
فارتقبْ منها ثمـاراً طعمُها في الفم مُـرّ ُ
فَهلِ الظّـلمةُ نـورٌ وهـل الإسفافُ فِكرُ
نَـيِّـرٌ ؟ فانـظـرْ بــعـيْـنِ الفَـطِــــنِ

This world we created sad with our hands.
We raised ignorance and illusions as dreadful flags.
And we let the mind seeking the guidance of suspicious ideas.
Thus, we planted death and hatred in a fruitful land.

Diese Welt haben wir mit unseren Händen traurig gemacht.
Die Unkenntnis und die Wahnvorstellungen haben
wir als Schreckliche Fahnen hochgehoben.
Wir ließen den Verstand mit verdächtigen Gedanken anleiten werden.
So pflanzten wir das Sterben und den Haß in einer fruchtbaren Erde.

هــذه الدّنــيـا صنعـناهـا بأيـديـنـا كـئيبـة
ورفعنـا الجَّهـلَ والأوهامَ أعلاماً رهيـبة
وتركنـا العقـلَ يستـهدي بآراءٍ مُـريـبـة
فزرعنا الموتَ والأحقادَ في أرض خصيبة

Why is the distress, sorrow and weeping?
We know nothing but some of the secrets of life.
The mind is unable and the intellect went astray in this darkness.
So leave your concern aside, it is a self’s killer.

Warum denn ist die Sorge, die Traurigkeit und das Weinen?
Wir wissen nichts aber etwas vom Lebensgeheimnis.
Der Verstand ist unfähig und das Denken verwirrt in diesen Dunkelheiten.
laß die Besorgnis seitlich, sie ist ein Selbstmord.

فلماذا الـهـمّ ُوالحـزنُ ولطـمُ الوَجـنـاتِ ؟
نحن لا نعـرف إلاّ بعضَ أسـرارِ الحـياةِ
عجز العقـلُ وتاه الفِكـرُ في ذي الظّلماتِ
فاطرح التفكـيرَ جـنبــاً إنّـه إزهــاق ذات

But it is pity to think that the soul will perish,
It is the energy which knows nothing but eternity,
It is the bird rejoicing singing in the space.
It has ruptured its chains from a body which was a jail.

Aber das Mitleid ist, wenn Du denkst, daß die seele vernichtet würde.
Sie ist die Energie, die nichts aber die Ewigkeit Weißt,
Sie ist das Vogel singend mit Freude in den Lüften,
Sie zerstörte ihre Fessel vom Körper, der ein Gefängnis war.

لكنِ الإشفاقُ حقاً أنْ تظُنَّ الروحَ تَـفـنى
فهِيَ الطّاقـةُ لا تعرف غيرَ الخلدِ معنى
وهيَ الطّائـرُ في الأجواء نَشوى تتَغَنّى
حطّمتْ أصفادَها مِنْ جَسد قد كان سَجنا

O’ my friend, you are banished and the den rats
Became lairs’ lions feeding on the hawks.
If there is no choice but to live in such an evil world,
Take the core and throw all shells away!

Mein Freund, du bist vertriebend und die Höhlenratten
wurden Höhlenlöwen, die an den Falken zehren.
Wenn man in der Welt des Übels leben müsse,
nähmst du den Kern und schautest nicht an die Schalen.

يا صديقي أنتَ مَقصيّ ٌ وفئـران الجّحـورِ
أصبحت أُسْـدَ عـرينٍ تتغـذّى بالصّقـور
إن يكنْ لا بُـدَّ للعيشة في دنيـا الشّـرور ِ
فخُـذِ اللبَّ وغُضَّ الطَّـرفَ عن كلِّ القشور!

Your world became a pyramid inverted upside down,
Where the top became the bottom and the bottom is the top.
If you can’t change it by your say and action,
Why do you let the stress assassinate reason?

Deine Welt wurde wie die Pyramide vekehrt herum,
dessen Köpf unten wurde, und was unten ist, ist hoch geworden.
Falls es dir nicht gelingen würde mit Rede und Aktivität zu ändern,
Warum dann läßt du den Kummer deinen Verstand meucheln?

أصبحتْ دنياكَ مثلَ الهرم المقلوب شَكلا
حيث صار الرأسُ في الأسفل والأسفلُ أعلى
أنتَ إنْ لـم تستـطعْ تغييـرَهــا قـولاً وفـعلا
فـلماذا تـتـركُ الهــمَّ إذاً يـغـتــالُ عــقـلا

The fabrication became a cloth that the leaders wear,
And if you deny something, the pious made you “unbeliever”
Pious? I am bewildered with my matter and the origin of disaster,
And with Satans that have a thousand ways in canniness.

Die Fälschung wurde eine Kleidung, die die Lieder anziehen.
Und wenn du etwas veleugnest, machen dich die Gottesfürchtigen
ungläubig.
Gottesfürchtigen? Ich bin davon verwirrt sowie mit dem Grund
der Katastrophe, und mit Teufeln, die eintausend Wege der
Schlauheit haben.

أصبح الزيفُ رداءً يرتديـه الزّعمـاءْ
وإذا أنكرتَ أمـراً كفّـرتْـكَ الأتـقيـاءْ
أتقياءُ ؟حِرتُ في أمري وفي أصل البلاءْ
وشياطينَ لها ألفُ طـريقٍ في الدَّهـاءْ

She is fifty but the photo is exactly twenty,
And so the boyish old presents himself as a young man,
If man deceives with his picture,
How doesn’t he make a speech from fabrication?

Ihr Alter ist fünfzig, aber das Photo ist ganz zwanzig.
Und so stellt sich der verjüngte Alte als einen Knabe vor.
Wenn der Mensch mit seinem Bild betrüge,
Wieso dann würde er keine Rede von der Fälschung machen?

عمرُها خمسون عاماً لكنِ الصورةُ عشرون تماماً
وكـذاك المُتَـصابي يُبـرزُ الشَّيـخَ غـلاما
وإذا ما خـدع الإنسانُ فـي صـورتـهِ
كيف لا يَنـسجُ مِـنْ زيـفٍ كـلامـا ؟

If someone rejoices from success we agonize,
And if he gets great trouble we complain,
We are two bodies with one head, naked and turbaned,
And you see us always thirsty and the glass is full.

Wenn Jemand sich mit Erfolg freuen würde, tut es uns weh,
Und wenn er ein großes Mißgeschick bekommen hätte, würden wir beklagenr.
Wir sind zweikörper mit einem Haupt, nacktend und turbantragend.
Und immer siehst du uns dürstig und das Glas is Voll.

عـنـدما يـفـرح شخـص بنجـاح نتـألّـمْ
وإذا مـا نـالـه خـطـبٌ عـظـيـمٌ نَتـظَـلّم
نحن جسمـانِ برأسٍ واحدٍ عـارٍ مُعَمَّـمْ
وتَرانـا دائمـاً في ظَـمأ والكأسُ مُفعَـمْ
