Without Hawar, the Kurd, it would have been impossible for Yonis, the Arab, to score the winning goal in Jakarta latest.
Despite the fact the Arabs has changed the name of Hawar into Hawwar in their perpetual attempts to Arabize all names and places, he didn’t care so much and helped the Arabs to score the decisive goal.
A kind of self sacrifice!
The unified Iraqi squad had one aim: to win. No differences. No egoism. No sensitivities. No rivalry. No hatred.
This is our player that, though in misery, brought us the victory.
Behold the player on the stadiums playing with his hand on his injury.
This is the new Iraqi National Song.
On the political field, on the contrary, everything is bad and ill managed.
There is even no intention to score a goal. Selfishness is the dominant characteristic. Talabani, the Kurd, would never pass a ball to Al Maliki, the Arab, to let him score a goal.
And the Americans came down to the field with no clear plans. And they played without linesmen so that they could prevent the external penetrating through the borders.
Worse yet, the captain of America’s troops had destroyed all the substitutes represented by the Iraqi army and the Iraqi infrastructure from the very beginning.
He also entrusted the task defense to persons who abused and misused their positions and soon came to be known by Iraqis, “her protector is her robber.” - An Iraqi famous saying.
One of the tremendous faults made by Americans: they didn’t study or understand the Iraqi norms and values.
For instance, granting the Iraqi well air-conditioned parliament a summer vocation for the month august whereas the Iraqis burned in the temperature of 50 grades without having even a ventilator to turn above head without electricity. Besides going on vocation is a typical western tradition, the Iraqis never enjoyed such kind of luxury.
“America lost the war in Vietnam because our troops were trapped in a distant country we did not understand.” Senator Edward m. Kennedy hit the point.
America used faces and figures on the Iraq field known for their loyalty to the Americans but strange to the Iraqis.
“We supported a government that lacked sufficient legitimacy with its people.” E. Kennedy again.
Stabilizing Iraq with this current political team is undeniable hopeless.
Yet, the single bright spot yet to be seen in the dimly tunnel is a one crucial radical courageous decision:
Tripartite Partition.
And that is the very strategy America had in mind from the very beginning. Exposed to frustration after frustration and almost a decade of nonstop bloodshed, the Iraqis have been ultimately dragged into the abyss of fait accompli.
The Iraqis now realize, or must admit that they cannot live together as before. To de so they need an iron fist to rule them.
