Romania makes its duty regarding the fight against corruption and begins to be recognized internationally as a model in the fight against corruption, and this was resulting by unprecedented actions against corruption of DNA (The National Anticorruption -dir-ectorate) , that does not give back even in face the prime minister and more than 1,200 people have been convicted of corruption, including 23 primary, five members of Parliament and former Prime Minister Adrian Nastase.
The National Anticorruption -dir-ectorate, is the Romanian agency tasked with preventing, investigating and prosecuting corruption-related offenses , such as bribery, graft, patronage and embezzlement , in recent years, DNA has become one of the most relied institutions in public space , in the market ´-or- in Parliament at banks ´-or- churches and schools, , the name of DNA is invoked with confidence, fear or-sign of disgrace , the most important , that Romanians seem to have been impressed by the activities of DNA: according to one recent poll, 60% of people said they trusted the agency, while only 11% said they trusted parliament , anyway, the agency has successfully gone after plenty of politicians on both sides of the parliamentary aisle.
DNA is now based far more on denunciations and complaints from citizens to start investigations and less on referrals from other institutions´-or-self initiatives , more of that ,DNA has become a new religion for Romanians, INSCOP survey reveals , that the Romanians trust in DNA , more than in the Church , but the truth , that the Church in Romania does not lose , but the democracy in Romania wins .
