Settlements’ Councils Encourage Founding of more Outposts in Complicity with Occupation Army

The National Bureau for defending land and resisting settlements ( nbprs ) stated in its latest weekly report , that the hard-line, extremist religious “hilltop youth,” and “pay the price,” as well as other armed Jewish settlers organizations have gone to the Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood in the occupied Jerusalem during these days of Ramadan under the pretext that they want to defend the Jewish settlers who live there. They attacked the Palestinian people in the city in the sae way they did in the Lod city during the Israeli aggression on Gaza in the battle of the “Sword of Jerusalem”. It is reported that the settlers, during the month of May 2021, organized in hundreds and stormed the city of Lod and attacked the homes of Arab citizens in the city, the mosque and destructed property of the citizens protected by the Israeli soldiers.

Under the title “Settlement Advancement and Development,” the Finance Committee of the Occupation Municipality in Jerusalem also approved a series of settlement projects and settlers’ welfare, allocating a sum of NIS 241 million to expand settlements in Jabal Abu Ghneim and to add 560 settlement units eastward towards the military barrier “in Mazmoria.” The committee said that the Organization and Building Committee presented this project at the beginning of this month as a proposal that was discussed and approved in a period of time due to the great demand for settlement in that area near Jerusalem and vital facilities. At the same time, the leader of the Israeli Labor Party and Minister of Transport and Road Safety, Merav Michaeli inaugurated the new electric train line between Modi in settlement and West Jerusalem. She indicated that the electric train line connects West Jerusalem with Modiin in about 22 minutes, that was designed in 2016 to operate daily including on Fridays and Saturdays at one trip per hour and at a later stage two trips per hour in both -dir-ections. Works included the construction of a 5.2 kilometer long, electrified double railway, three bridges and a tunnel of about 650m.

Jerusalem:
• Storming the Petra Hotel, located in Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Square, owned by the Jerusalem Orthodox Patriarchate and rented by the Qarash family in the occupied Jerusalem in order to control Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Square, and change the historical monuments of Bab Al-Khalil in the Old City of Jerusalem.
• Invading the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy guard from the occupation police, allowing Ben Gvir -Religious Zionism - and his companions to storm Al-Aqsa, carry out a provocative tour, and perform racist Talmudic rituals in front of the Dome of the Rock.
Bethlehem:
• Firing live bullets at the vehicles of citizens passing through Road no. 60, south of Bethlehem.
• Running over a girl, she sustained severe injuries in the Taqoa town, east of Bethlehem.

Ramallah:
• Damaging tires of a number of citizens vehicles and wrote racist slogans on citizens homes in the Turmusaya town, north of Ramallah.
• Preventing Palestinian farmers from accessing their lands in the Rafid area of the Sinjil town, north of Ramallah, attacked the farmers and force them to leave the area.
Nablus:
• Chopping 170 olive trees from the eastern al-Lubban lands south of Nablus in the the "Al-Rahwat" area.
• Attacking commercial establishments with stones and smashed vehicles at the entrance to the Burqa village, northwest of Nablus, confronted with residents after the attack, during which a number of citizens suffocated.
• Attacking citizens vehicles with stones near Burin, south of Nablus, and Burqa, northwest of the city. A number of citizens suffocated after the occupation forces prevented the people of Qusra town from accessing their lands that they seized months ago.
• Attacking homes of citizens on the eastern side of Asira al-Qibliya town, which led to the outbreak of confrontations with the occupation forces. The occupation forces stormed the Al-Masoudia archaeological area belonging to the lands of Burqa village, northwest of Nablus, and the Hejaz railway station building, with maps of the place with them.
Salfeet:
• Attacking the Marda village, north of Salfeet. They attacked citizens vehicles and destroyed a number of them.
• Uprooting 20 olive plantations in the area of Khilt Abu Mazhar west of the Kafr al-Deek town, and near the settlements of Eli Zahav and Leshem, their ages range from 3 to 10 years, the land area is 4 dunums, and the occupation forces were notified them of the demolition.
• Removing 2 “brixes” for raising livestock in the town of Bruqin, west of Salfit, belong to the citizens, Moh’d Amer and Mah’d Barakat.
• Attacking the elderly Palestinian Taysir Naji 73 while he was on his land, known as “Banat Bar” west of Kafr ad-Dik town, west of Salfit, his hand was broken hand and parts of his body were bruised.
Jordan Valley:
• Seizing a private vehicle belonging to Suhaib Abu Khizran, while he was in the east of Atouf, south of Tubas.
• Attacking a taxi driver, Riad Shalabi, from Jericho, near the Dead Sea, causing him to break his teeth.
• Injuring citizen Daif-Allah Jadu’ Qreinat 55, as settlers attacked him, while he was grazing his sheep near Fasayel village, north of Jericho.
