My Dad, My Spiritual Teacher

He walked this earth with grace and ease,
A heart that overflowed with love and peace,
His wisdom, kindness, and generosity,
Are gifts that forever will inspire me.

He taught me to see the good in all,
And to answer hate with love, not a brawl,
His words were like honey, sweet and true,
A beacon of light that shone through and through.

His spirit was gentle, yet strong and bold,
He faced life s challenges with courage untold,
His faith unwavering, his hope ever bright,
A true spiritual warrior, a beacon of light.

My dad, my spiritual teacher, my guide,
A soul that touched so many lives,
Though he may have left this earthly plane,
His love and light forever remain.

So I will honor his memory, day by day,
And carry on the lessons he taught me on the way,
For though he may be physically gone,
His spirit and love forever live on.
