It Lies with Me

It Lies with Me
Nothing but life-lies. I am a tissue, a pack or a bunch of lies whatever you want. I lie through my body and language all sorts of lies. I lie my head off. I lie my way out if need be especially when I lie on my back, lie awake or lie in ruins. But a woman once said: A liar is never believed I would not only stop trusting you but leave you. The truth will out, lies don’t travel far because they have short legs. I thought that was an outright lie because she was living a true lie.

There are not only true lies but also deliberate lies to mislead. If I lie I sin because of I am human full of weaknesses and threats. People in power are said to lie more often but that’s a lie. You cannot even detect who is lying by watching their facial expressions. No, lie detectors lie and swearing doesn t help either because liars tend to swear more. Whether a smile is forced or real it is nothing but lies.

Lies have no specific colour because white lies are colourless. No, lies are rather multi-colour. Not so much off-colour, but I am oddly discontented. Why do I sometimes get like this for no apparent reason? It persists and I feel restless. Indeed lies are superior because they have several faces but truth if exists can have only one. Now do you understand why I choose to be a liar? Don t pretend to be ethical because it is a minefield. Thus I declare proudly: My life is based on lies, nothing but lies.
