I believe it was by accident. When he opened his eyes he found himself in a room. Somebody was looking at him from above like a giant darkening the room. His eyelids flickered. Then he was left alone for some time but the person, who now looked like a shadow, appeared again and began asking stupid questions:

Do you hear me?
Yes, I do Sir.
Ok, tell me who you are.
Sorry, Sir what do you mean?
I want to know who you are. Name and so on.
I don’t know Sir. I forgot.
Well, you are now in a hospital and we need your personal details.
No, Sir I am not in a hospital but what details do you mean?
I want to know you.
Of course Sir, yes I know I am a man but that’s all that I know. Other things come and go in my mind and I can’t stop them.
Stop what?
Well, the waves in me change their length.
Are you talking about short and long radio waves?
Yes, Sir, I only feel the waves and sometime they make me dizzy. They turn round like whirl wind. Are you turning me up and down or is my bed fixed?
Your bed is fixed, everything here is fixed. Nothing turns round. You are dreaming.
Sir, the waves are always there whether you are awake or asleep. There is no difference.

The man left and he was left alone again. He thought of getting up and leaving. He was afraid the man would come back and ask the same silly questions again. He knew all questions were stupid because they aimed at answers. But answers never existed. You couldn’t stop the waves. They changed their length and direction every second. The waves he felt were painful but they gave him energy. He thought he had to go further.

No, he was only a witness, not really involved. The film was played everyday and he watched and watched with the same eyes till he couldn’t watch any more. That was how he came to be a witness. Sometimes he thought his eyes were the problem because they got dazzled and he gave in. He knew he wouldn’t be able to change it because it was too late but now he had to go further.
