Nothing But Stones

Nothing but Stones
It was a stone. I mean everybody wanted to have stones. They were six in number. The first three built a group and the last three a second. Of course they were of different colors and sizes but the second was a bit lighter. It suddenly acquired a faint yellow color. When it changed it displayed different shades. An inner weak color was developing into a brighter one. Still, nobody believed a stone could change that way. It disappeared in mud and was washed away by rain and wind to build structures for others. That was how the other stones came to be saved.

The size of the stone didn’t show the amount of energy in it. In fact it had more energy than the other five put together. It radiated to all directions to show the way without being seen. That was how it turned to a lamp and a mirror. Something came out from within the lamp to be reflected by the mirror until its energy was exhausted. That was how it turned back to a stone.

A stone can be a unit of measure to show weight or can be light and beautiful as a gem to be hidden in ocean. But it can be a weapon or be found in kidneys. Whether you look inside or outside yourself there are stones everywhere. The light of the lamp inside you is reflected by the mirror outside, a kind of ex- or im-pression.The stone came right down their alley in times of adversity. They clung to it as their only hope but as usual and as soon as it was used it was forgotten. The stone kept quiet for it was its inward nature.
