Tunisia : Assault on civil society activist

Yesterday, May 1st, 2020, the trans activist and the head of the of the Outcasts organisation Ahmed_Tounisi were subjected to severe physical violence and psychological heresy by a group of known persons-;- who attacked him in his workplace in Tunis, and then beat him and forced him to publicly disclose his gender identity.
Despite submitting a complaint at the police station, the attacks continued and reached his home, as well as he was on his way to the hospital to undergo medical abuse because of his poor health
We support Ahmed against the transphobic attacks that harass his physical and psychological integrity, and we call on all human rights organizations to support him and pursue his right to access to justice.

We also mention the judicial authority in Ahmad file and dozens of files at the courts awaiting consideration and decision in favor of trans community to change their civil status deprives them from exercising their administrative and health rights and the access to the job market ...
