THE SONG OF LOVE AND RAIN
Poem by Mahmoud Said Kawash

She was away from him for a long time, so longing overcame him, he sent her greetings and said:
Good morning and evening and have a blessed Friday dear honey, as well as a quiet and happy time
Good morning and evening, the same love, the same longing and beauty
Yes, the same love, longing, beauty and much more
I send you lots of kisses on the wing of “Al-Buraq”
To reach you warm, eager, and expressing what is boiling in my chest
I was delighted by your kind and uplifting words
They played on the passion of my heart
Which was about to burst into the song of love and rain, and sang songs of patience, optimism and hope
May God Almighty bless your heart and its four chambers
My heart is yours, accept it, take care of it and be gentle with it
From its depth to yours: I love you, I love you, I love you much more
I love you and miss you, always and forever
Nothing is more important and more informative than love and longing!!
God Almighty, Lord of the Great Throne, who created and leveled it, who destined and guided it, and who brought out the pastures, protect her
Cover her with all care, provide her with wellness, to make all her days happiness upon happiness and to make her Eid an Eid of goodness, love and joy
God Almighty, Lord of the Great Throne, bless her, her family and all her loved ones
You are the closest listener and the only responder of supplication
I beg you to fulfil my supplication

Note:

“Al-Buraq”, literally means in Arabic: “ÇáÈÑÇÞ”.
“lightening” is a steed, described as a creature from the heavens which transported the prophets in Islam. The most commonly told story is how in the 7th century, Al – Buraq carried prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah SAWS from Mecca to Jerusalem and back during the Isra and Mi’raj´-or-“Night Journey”, which is the title of one of the chapters (sura), Al-Isra, of the Qur’an.
The Messenger of Allah SAWS said, “I was brought by the Buraq, a long white beast, slightly bigger than a donkey but smaller than a mule which when trotting (ride), would place its next step as far as its eyesight could see. I mounted it until I reached al – Quds, Jerusalem. There I tied it up to the same ring used by the Prophets.
