I do not want to insult or criticize anyone.. This article will address the efforts, if any, of many Parliamentary women towards improving current Iraqi women s rights. We , as Iraqi women, used to have suffered and we are still continue to suffer .. We wished and waited for such a moment to get our rights, we were very happy when the dictator fell, that event was like the wedding ..., But we were disappointed in the cradle of joy. That event brought us women we do not believe they are representing us.. They are like tyrannical men, remind us of Spartan bearded men who have great muscles, cruelly obeyed to the orders and strongly reject views of the other human beings. Most of our Parliament women s views do not represent Iraqi women ambition towards getting freedom, but focus on restricting the freedom of Iraqi women trying to make women as a tool to be used by the man.
I apologize, in advance, for any word probably placed in an inappropriate place…

Many people have described the member of the Parliament who does not stir against, does not care of or give his/her opinion towards any changes or events requiring viewpoint on a particular topic, they described him /her as a Sphinx, which is still nailed in his place without taking any action. Sphinx might move, but our Parliament member would never move!!.

From this description, there is an initiative launched by a number of Egyptian Press and intelligentsia observers who used to follow Egyptian Parliament sessions, the initiative is to give a member or members of the Parliament an annual title (Sphinx), when his /her voice is absent or did not participate in any discussions throughout the year.

Being a woman, I would like to focus on our women in the Iraqi Parliament. They are about sixty or more female members according to the percentage allowed by the Iraqi constitution. I wonder whether the Iraqi people or journalists know these women by their faces or names?, definitely, the answer is very few.

How many of them went to visit orphanages, social care centers or tents of the internally displaced persons without orders issued by the head of her party or block that sponsored her?, the answer is , if we want to be exaggerated, on the number of a hand fingers.

How many of them have pledged to donate from her monthly salary to the children, orphans and displaced persons and defended their rights as Iraqi citizens... No one knows, but God and the great insiders .

How many of them appeared on the television screen showing disagreement on the violence committed against women to wear headscarves under the shadow of swords, or the ignorance and illiteracy prevailing among Iraqi young women?, Unfortunately, the answer is not exceeded the number of a hand fingers.

How many of them go quickly to perform Hajj and Umrah, or visit the neighboring countries at the expense of the State or her own expense !!?.... The answer is known to all ... They have all the right, because they are in urgent need of well-being, it is an appropriate opportunity for them and not an obligation to atone for sins, omission and negligence in carrying the case that Iraqi people mandated to them to defend Iraqi women in general and children in particular.
Finally, I invite Iraqi journalists who regularly follow the Parliament sessions to give a yearly Award called ( Um AlHool), sorry (Umahat AlHool), or they can make it Iraqi Award called (Female lion of Babylon) instead of Lion of Babylon, which is still standing despite of the appeals for preserving it as a milestone for the world civilization in general and Iraq in particular, as well as it would provide a valuable prize or award for Parliament women who do not wish to represent Iraqi women, but to represent blocks and parties. This Award or Prize is to be presented annually for a number of our women in the Parliament specifically. I am sure the competition will be warm and the results will be close enough to the referees that they will find it very difficult to choose the winners! .
