شهد استخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات استخدامًا واسعًا من قبل مؤسسات الرعاية الصحية لدعم تقديم الرعاية لأن أنظمة التوثيق الإلكترونية تساعد في التقاط البيانات من خلال استخدام إدخال التاريخ المنظم ولغة التمريض الرسمية (Ehrenberg and Ehnfors ، 2001). تتمتع أنظمة التوثيق الإلكترونية بمزايا في تزويد المهنيين الصحيين بإمكانية متزايدة للحصول على معلومات أكثر اكتمالاً ووضوحًا ودقة وقراءة وحداثة عن المريض (Helleso and Ruland ، 2001 ؛ Oroviogoicoechea ، Elliott and Watson ، 2008).
استنتاج:
يعد توثيق التمريض أمرًا بالغ الأهمية في أماكن الرعاية الصحية ويعكس جوانب مختلفة بما في ذلك مستوى وعي الممرضات بأدوارهن في تقديم الخدمات الصحية بنوعية جيدة. وثائق التمريض لها شكلين رئيسيين: التوثيق الورقي والتوثيق الإلكتروني. الوثائق الورقية لها عيوب معينة مثل الافتقار إلى الشمولية والوضوح. وبناءً على ذلك ، لوحظ اتجاه قوي لتحويل الوثائق الورقية نحو التوثيق الإلكتروني.
