من وَحْـيِ أبي العلاء المعرّي:
( الأرض للطُّـــوفــان مشتــاقـــة***لعـلّـهـا مــن دَرَنٍ تُـغسَـلُ )

صدقتَ يا مَنْ قد رُزِقتَ الحِجى***فأنت في نهـج النّهـى أوّلُ
مــاذا تـقـول الآن يـا سيِّـدي***لـو كـنـتَ حَـيّـاً بـيـنـنا تهـدِلُ
ما كان بالأمس منــارَ الهدى***أضحى خـرابـاً كـلّـه جـنـدلُ
واجتاحه المحتلُّ من بعد ما***رأى عـلـوجَ القـوم تستفــحـلُ
بُــنـيَتـُه ؟ دمَّـَـرها كُـــلَّـهـا***ولـوَّثَ الأرضَ ومــا تحــمـــلُ
وجاء بالوحـوشِ من غـابـةٍ***جـثــا لهـا البـعـيــــرُ والأيَّــلُ
فهبّـتِ الضِّـبـاعُ فـي لهـفـةٍ***تلـقَــفُ ما تهــوى ولا تحـفـِـلُ
وصاح كلُّ النّاس في دهشةٍ***أهـكـذا النـفـوسُ إذ تسْـفُــــلُ؟
إنِّـكــمُ أسيـــادُنـــا فأْمُـــروا***مــا يشتهـيـه السـيّـدُ الأبـجــلُ
دمـاؤنـا؟ نسفــكُـهـا كــلَّـهـا***وإنْ يكـنْ ما نأكـلُ الحـنـظــلُ

قومي الذين انتخـبـوا ساسـةً***بـيـنهــمُ الأخـطــلُ والأثــولُ
لمْ يفهمـوا الأمـر ولمْ يعلمــوا***أنَّ ذئـابـاً دمَـهــمْ تـنـهـــــلُ
لمْ يُـنجِـبِ التاريخ أشبـاهَهـــمْ***فكلّهـم فــي النَّهـب مستبسلُ
صمٌّ عن الشكـوى فلا أعـيـــنٌ***تُبصر طفلاً جائــعـاً يهزُلُ
ولا يُــبــالــون إذا مــــا رأوْا***أرمـلـة فـي بـؤسهـا تحجــلُ
بئسَ الديـانـاتُ وبئس التُّـقـى***إنِ ادّعــاها اللصُّ والأهبــلُ

Right! O you who was endowed with prudence,
you are the leader on the road of intelligence.
What would you say now, Sir
if you were alive among us and tweeting?
What was yesterday the lighthouse of guidance,
Became ruin, all of it is rubble.
And the occupier invaded it after
He saw the Savages become intolerable.
Its infrastructure? He destroyed all,
And polluted the earth and all on it.
He brought with him beasts from the jungle,
The camel and elk crouched to them.
So, the hyenas sprang up eagerly,
Swallowing what they like and without care.
And all the people shouted in astonishment:
Are so the human beings becoming vile?
You are our masters! Order us!
What the Most Honorable Lord desires.
Our blood? We shed all,
Even if what we eat is the Colocynth.

My people who elected politicians,
Among them are the moron and the fool,
Did not understand the matter and did not know
That wolves are drinking their blood.
History has never procreated their likes,
All of them are heroic in looting.
Deaf to complaints, no eyes
See a starving child emaciated,
And they don t care if they see a widow
in her misery walking on one leg.
What bad religions and wretched piety
If the thief and the idiot claim them.

(Die Erde sehnt sich nach der Flut,
Vielleicht wird sie von Dreck gewaschen.)

Sie haben recht, O Sie mit Klugheit begabt,
Sie sind der Anführer auf dem Weg der Intelligenz.
Was würden Sie jetzt sagen,
Wenn Sie unter uns wären und twittern?
Was war gestern der Leuchtturm der Führung,
Wurde Ruine, alles ist Schutt.
Und der Besatzer drang danach ein,
Wenn er sah, wie die Wilden unerträglich wurden.
Seine Infrastruktur? Er hat alles zerstört,
Und verunreinigte das Land und alles darauf.
Er brachte die Bestien aus dem Dschungel mit,
Das Kamel und der Elch kauerten sich neben sie.
Also sprangen die Hyänen eifrig auf,
Schlucken was sie wollen ohne Sorge.
Und alle Leute riefen erstaunt:
Werden die Menschen so abscheulich?
Sie sind unsere Meister! Bestellen Sie uns!
Was der ehrenwerte Herr wünscht.
Unser Blut? Wir werfen alles ab,
Auch wenn das, was wir essen, Colocynth ist.

Mein Volk, das Politiker gewählt hat,
Unter ihnen sind der Idiot und der Narr,
Hat die Sache nicht verstanden und wusste es nicht
Dass Wölfe ihr Blut trinken.
Die Geschichte hat nie ihre Vorlieben gezeugt,
Alle sind heldenhaft beim Plündern.
Taub bei Beschwerden, keine Augen
Sehen ein ausgehungertes Kind,
Und es ist ihnen egal, ob sie eine Witwe sehen
In ihrem Elend auf einem Bein gehend.
Was für schlechte Religionen und elende Frömmigkeit
Wenn sie der Dieb and der Idiot beanspruchen.
