الادب والفن

(1)
أنا لا أكتب الأشعار،
فالأشعار تكتبني.
أريد الصمت كي أحيا،
ولكن الذي ألقاه ينطقني.
I do not write poems
Poems write me.
I need silence to survive,
But what I undergo phonates me ,

صحت من قسوة حالي :
فوق نعلي كل أصحاب المعالي !
قيل لي: عيبٌ؛
فكرَّرت مقالي.
قيل لي: عيبٌ؛
وكرَّرت مقالي.
ثم لما قيل لي عيبٌ،
تنبَّهت الى سوء عباراتي،
وخفّفت انفعالي،
ثم قدمت اعتذاراً لنِعالي !
I whooped from the severity of my case:
‘On my slippers are all the Excellencies!’
I was told: ‘This is shameful’
So I repeated my words.
I was told: ‘This is shameful’
And I repeated my words.
Then, when I was told it is shameful,
I minded my bad words,
And eased my effervescence,
Then, I presented an apology to my slippers!

حالات
بالتمادي . . . يصبِحُ اللّصُّ بأوربا مديراً للنوادي،
وبأمريكا، زعيماً للعصابات وأوكار الفسادِ،
وبأوطاني التي من شرعها قطع الأيادي،
.يصبح اللص . . . زعيماً للبلادِ،
Cases
With persistence. . . the thief in Europe becomes the clubs’ boss
In America, a boss of gangs and corruption dens
But in my homelands, whose law is to cut off hands,
The thief becomes . . the country boss.

إهانة
رأتِ الدّوَلُ الكُبْرى
تبديلَ الأدوارْ
فأقرَّتْ إعْفاءَ الوالي
واقْتَرحتْ تعْيينَ حِمارْ!
ولدى توْقيعِ الإقرار ْ
نهقَتْ كُلُّ حميرِ الدُّنيا باستنكارْ:
نحنُ حميرَ الدُّنيا، لا نرْفضُ أن نُتعَبْ
أو أن نُركَبْ، أو أن نُضرَبْ
أو حتى أن نُصلَبْ؛
لكن نرفضُ في إصرارْ
أنْ نَغْدو خدماً للاستعمارْ.
إنَّ جمُورِيَّـتَنا تَأْبى
أنْ يَلْحَقَنا هذا العارْ!
An Insult
The Great Powers have agreed to switching roles,
So they approved the ruler’s exemption
And proposed hiring a donkey in position!
Upon signing this decision
All the donkeys of the world brayed in condemnation:
‘We, the donkeys of the world, have no objection
To making us get tired
Or be ridden,´-or-beaten
Or even crucified
But we adamantly refuse
To become the servants of colonisation.
Our Republic rejects
To bechance this disgrace!’

و من منشوراته

من طَرَف الداعي..
إلى حضرة حمّال القُرَح:
لك الحياة والفرح.
نحن بخير، وله الحمد، ولا يهمنا شيء سوى فراقكم
نود أن نعلمكم أن أباكم قد طفح.
وأمكم توفيت من فرط شدة الرشح
وأختكم بألف خير.. إنما تبدو كأنها شبح.
تزوجت عبد العظيم جاركم
وزوجها في ليلة العرس انذبح.
ولم يزل شقيقكم في السجن.. لارتكابه أكثر من عشر جُنح.
وداركم عامرة.. أنقاضها
وكلبكم مات لطول ما نبح
وما عدا ذلك لا ينقصنا سوى وجودكم هنا.
أخوكم الداعي لكم (قوس قزح(
ملحوظة: كل الذي سمعته عن مرضي بالضغط والسكرِ.. صح.
ملحوظة ثانية: دماغ عمك انفتح.
وابنة خالك اختفت.
لم ندر ماذا فعلت
لكن خالك انفضح!
ملحوظة أخيرة: لك الحياة والفرح!”

A Pamphlet
From me, the writer ..
To the bearer of ulcers:
I wish life and joy to you.
We re fine, to Him is the praise, nothing worries us but missing you
We would like to inform you that your father kicked the bucket.
And your mother passed away from severe cold.
And your sister is extremely well.. though looking like a ghost.
She married Abdul-Adheem, your neighbor,
And her husband, on the night of the wedding, was slaughtered.
Your brother is still in prison... for committing more than ten misconducts.
And your house is prosperous .. in ruins.
And your dog died of too much barking.
Other than that, we only need your presence with us.
Your brother who wishes you well: (Rainbow)

Note: All that you heard about my infliction with high pressure and diabetes.. is true.
Second note: your uncle s brain was opened
And your cousin has disappeared
We didn t know what she did,
But your uncle was scandalized!
One last note: life and joy to you!”
